Audism - Does Audism exist in Dictionary?

I had used word "audism" in previous post that doesn't exist in http://www.dictionary.com/. I use spellchecker in firefox, and the spellchecker thinks audism is wrong spelling. I am disappointed because racism and fascism are in dictionary, but audism is not in dictionary. What about audism? I hope that word will be in the dictionary someday. Is there a way that word can be added to the dictionary? Thousands words are being added to the dictionary each day or year, but audism haven't been added in dictionary yet. Audism is hearing person think better than deaf person, enforce oral, and discrimination against deaf people. I assumed that there are probably million hearing people do not know what it is. I hope the protest will help million hearing people learn that word and add that word in the dictionary. I hope AFA can make a sign and define "audism" that will help hearing people understand the rally more. I just am concerned and want continue support the rally.

I believe the word was first used by Harlan Lane in one of his books. It it not a real word, with a fixed definition, so it is not in the dictionary. I believe that there are lots of people that believe that audism isn't real, so unless it is a real thing, it can't be in the dictionary.

If it is not real word, people wouldn't use it. However, some people had been using it.

Audism is now in "open dictionary" http://www3.merriam-webster.com/opendictionary/newword_search.php You can type it audism and it will provide definition of audism. It is a relatively new term. Open dictionary is the first step before formal dictionary. When more people use the term, the more likely the term will be put in dictionary. Thanks to Aidan Mack for referring that to us...
