Conficker - April 1st Virus - Is it meltdown?

I went into facebook and saw someone says "you need turn computer off for one day because of virus will destroy everything on April 1st at midnight." It startled me little bit. I decided to do research to find answers. News had exaggerated the virus's capability that is not right way to scare people off. I checked Norton and Microsoft about that virus. It explained that I do not have to worry about anything if I have everything updates and paid antivirus are fully updated. I use free antivirus, so I might have to turn computer off for two days. However, I have another computer that won't be affected that is Macbook. I will using it for two days.

April 1st virus will only access to million domains, websites, and disable antivirus and anything that are security. You won't lose data in hard drives with that virus. If you use free antivirus, turning off computer is recommended. Unless the antivirus have a protection against April 1st virus, you are free to turn computer on. Don't say I didn't warn you. I just do not want see people become panic and do overload things to protect themselves. So I wrote this tip to help people feel eased, but be alert.

There are instruction to get your computer protected from that virus.

Download trial free antivirus, Conficker tools to remove and protect the virus from Microsoft, update everything from the window.
