Audism and Ethnocentrism are Happening in Everywhere in the World

There are bloggers and vloggers had everlasting debate about audism and ethnocentrism. I understood their view about them. I would like to share my view about it. Audism and ethnocentrism do exist in everywhere in the world and in ancient time. Thousands years, deaf people couldn't own a property in other country. They were denied obtaining education for thousands years. It is still happening in present.

I went to Nicaragua and met deaf Nicaraguans who knew sign language called NSL. They told me stories about denied getting education, abused by their parent, couldn't find a job, and being made fun by people. They were prohibited to drive, too. Their sign language were discovered in 30 years ago that is pretty young compared to America, France, and England. I was amazed how incredible they are going through so difficult time, yet they are so happy people. I remember I was walking on road with deaf Nicaraguans and caught two men were mocking their sign language. They got away with it.

Deaf Americans had taken granted in here to have education, car, a job, success, ability own properties, and getting wealthy. Of course, they still suffer audism and ethnocentrism in here America, but other countries are facing much worse. I wish they can help people in other country to end audism and ethnocentrism, too. Why not the rally applies to the world, not only USA.

Yes it's a given that others in this world have it harder than us. Still long ways to go for many to humanize deaf people. Audism affects all levels of hearing loss so the assumption of ethnocentrism is irrelevant.
