I am sorry that I had not post any new posts lately. I had eye injured through tripped over. I took a break from studies and everything. I would like to share my thoughts about ASL (America Sign Language).
I had listen debate about ASL and how it can grow strong and overcome audism. It is very good topic for me to learn.
My perspective about that issue is somewhat different. I had read "the twain shall not meet" book that helped me to understand better how audism had formed. Some deaf people who kept debate over the issue are repeating the mistake that Alexander G. Bell and Edward Miner Gallaudet made in over 130 years ago. They fought each other while Alexander's idea had been spreading everywhere after Alexander advertised about oral method in every school. Edward Gallaudet was focused in one school. Now the issue audism now is happening again. I do not want see deaf children suffer again like pervious generation children suffered in dark age. The solution for that issue are market ASL, include deaf in ASL, put differences asides, and get together to success overcome the obstacles.
Market ASL and research evidence to medical and politicians world because doctors and politician are one who are far more ignorant regardless how educated they are. Money is also major role to success, so include that in marketing ASL. For instance, doctors made a lot of money with Implant cochlear, hearing aids, and therapy speech.
The reality check, doctors are one often hide the truth such as how dangerous vaccines are to children and drugs' severe side effect. So, doctors are likely to hide the truth about implant cochlear's side effect, too. Very few doctors are excellent doctors. It takes a time to find right doctor who will tell truth about treatment and it's pro and cons. Often, hearing parents go to doctor for treatment for their children. So, market ASL to doctors.
Also, learn hearing society and find out what they see in deaf people. To overcome the audism, change society's thought of deaf people.
I do agree with one vlogger that talk about how ASL is a true language.
Feel free to leave comment whether you agree or disagree. I learn better from people who agree or disagree and explain their reason. Keep that healthy discussion in here. Harsh comments will be rejected. I just share my thoughts in healthy way.
